Treatment Options
The first step in patient care is diagnosis. Using state of the art non invasive and minimal to low doses of radiation, patient treatment plans can be discussed. Options are specific to each patient but conservative medical management is always the first step.
Conservative medical management varies from patient to patient. It can range from doing nothing or little to moderate physical therapy to alternative forms of pain management. At the NJ Spine and Brain Center we would closely with pain management specialists dependent on the patient needs.
In cases where surgical intervention is warranted, patient options will be discussed and questions will be answered to patient satisfaction. We use the latest advancements in image-guided surgery including the:
image-guided intra-operative stereotactic surgery, also called image-guided surgical navigation, which allows us to navigate through a precise 3D map generated from your pre-operative imaging. This allows us to personalize our approach to your surgery in real-time and design a surgical solution that is minimally invasive, maximally effective, and minimizes complications.
We also use image-guided navigation in the treatment of other neurological conditions.
